Keith Sanders is a former Raleigh NC firefighter who thrives on giving back to his community through his contributions to volunteer efforts in the area. 

Professional Career

Former Firefighter (1999 — 2003)

Keith Sanders has always had a passion for helping others.  From an early age, he knew that he wanted to have a job that would offer him the opportunity to help others for a living.  Sanders looked at firefighters, police officers, paramedics and other first responders in the community as local heroes.  He aspired to work alongside these incredible individuals.  Although he had and still does maintain a lot of pride in the work of all first responders, something drew him to the fire department early on.  Sanders knew that he wanted to be a part of his local fire department and set his sights on this goal before he even completed high school.

From 1999 to 2003, Keith Sanders finally made his lifelong dream a reality and proudly represented his community as a firefighter.  Although those days may be behind him, Sanders continues to support his local fire department and other rescue organizations across the country.

Education & Training

Keith Sanders is a proud graduate of Raleigh-Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC.  After graduating from Raleigh-Broughton HS, Sanders continued on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at NC State University.  Although this experience would prove tremendously fulfilling, something told Sanders that he still wanted to pursue his original dream of becoming a firefighter.  After completing his studies at NC State, Sanders finally pursued that path by completing Firefighter Training 1 & 2 with the Western Wake Fire Department. 

Personal Interests

When Keith Sanders isn’t volunteering in the community, you’re very likely to find him out and about on the water in his boat.  If he could tour the world in his boat year-round: he would!  But for now, Sanders eagerly awaits each spring and summer season.  Each and every year, he embraces the adventures of the NC waters as he cruises around in his beloved boat, fishing ‘til the sun goes down!
